Can I use this shower gel on my face or hair?
Please don’t - Our shower gel is a body wash designed for shower use only. Facial skin and the scalp have different needs, so using a body cleanser on the face or hair can feel too cleansing and may disrupt balance.
Why body-only?
- Formulated for body skin:
Our blend of coconut-derived cleansers (e.g. Sodium Coco-Sulfate with Cocamidopropyl Betaine and Coco-Glucoside) gives that satisfying lather and thorough rinse your body loves - but it can be too much for the more delicate facial barrier and isn’t designed to condition hair or scalp. - Fragrance + essential oil components: As with any fragranced shower gel, keep away from the eye area and rinse well.
- What we recommend: Use it as intended - as a daily body wash in the shower.
Safety first
External use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse thoroughly. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a professional.

How do I recycle the bottle and packaging?
We keep it simple (and planet-kind).
Our shower gel packaging is fully recyclable, and our transport packaging is made from recycled materials - so more of what you receive can go straight back into the circular loop.
Bottle & cap
- Finish it up, then rinse:
Empty the last drops and give the bottle a quick rinse to remove residue. - Cap on or off?
Recycling rules vary. Many programs now accept plastic bottles with caps screwed back on to stop small parts getting lost - check your local guidance and follow what they recommend. - No need to remove labels: Modern sorting systems handle them; just make sure the bottle is clean and dry.
Pump (if your product has one)
- Pumps can contain mixed materials (often a small metal spring).
Some areas accept them; others don’t. If your local program doesn’t take pumps, remove it and place it in general waste, and recycle the bottle as normal. (If your council accepts pumps, pop it in accordingly.)
Carton, card & shipping materials
- Any outer carton, inserts, or shipping box can go in paper/cardboard recycling. Flatten boxes to save space.
- We use recyclable packaging, and our transport packaging is made from recycled content to reduce waste at the source.

Is Youf Shower Gel suitable for sensitive skin?
Youf is formulated to cleanse comfortably, with a creamy lather that rinses clean and skin that feels fresh, not tight. Our blend of coconut-derived cleansers works alongside betaine and coco-glucoside for a balanced wash.
If you are sensitive to fragrance, remember that natural essential oils can contain allergens such as limonene and citral.

- Use a small amount, dilute with water, rinse thoroughly

Is Youf vegan and cruelty free?
Absolutely! Youf Shower Gels are 100% vegan and cruelty free 🌱🐰
We’re powered by plants from cap to last drop. That means no animal derived ingredients and no animal testing. We also request written confirmations from our raw material suppliers so everything in the bottle lines up with our values.
What we never use
- Animal byproducts like beeswax, honey, lanolin, milk proteins, carmine or keratin
- Ingredients that rely on animal testing for our cosmetic use
How we make it happen
- Plant based surfactants for that silky foam, including coconut derived cleansers and sugar beet betaine 🫧
- Fragrances that are free from animal derived musks
- Supplier declarations on file to confirm no animal testing of cosmetic ingredients for our use
- Finished products are not tested on animals. Full stop

What does COSMOS Natural certification mean?
Youf Shower Gels are COSMOS Natural certified by Ecocert.
This independent standard reviews formulas and processes end to end. It focuses on responsible use of natural resources, traceable sourcing, and clear labeling so you understand exactly what is in the bottle.
COSMOS Natural supports green formulation principles, respect for biodiversity, and excludes GMO ingredients. Packaging is designed with recyclability in mind where local facilities exist.

Does it contain sulfates?
Youf does not use SLS or SLES. Our formulas use Sodium Coco Sulfate from coconut, paired with amphoacetates, betaine, and glucosides.
This creates rich, quick rinsing foam without heavy residue.
If you are highly sulfate sensitive, patch test first and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
How much should I use and how long does one bottle last?
Each bottle is 495 ml. With daily showers, that typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, depending on your routine and whether you use a sponge or cloth to boost lather.
Start with 2 to 3 pumps, add water to build foam, cleanse the body, then rinse thoroughly. To make it last, keep the bottle out of direct water flow and apply product where you need a deeper cleanse.

We keep our INCI transparent so you can make informed choices. Both scents use a gentle coconut based cleansing system with added betaine for comfort.
